Sadie Amara Calvano hails from America and is known for playing Violet Plunkett, in CBS' sitcom Mom. Calvano originates from California and initially was interested in gymnastics. However, she later decided to pursue an acting career. Her first screen appearance was the 2010 episode of CBS's 'NCIS'. Her big-screen debut occurred a year later in the biographical crime-drama film "J Edgar'. Through the course of time, she has established herself to be one of the top young actresses working in the current industry. In 2011, she won nominated to the Young Artist Award, Best Performance of an Actor in the Younger Years of Actress on a TV Series due to her performance in the show "NCIS". In 2013, her role as a guest on Disney XD's comedy 'Kickin It' was nominated once more for the Young Artist Award. Calvano played a major role in "Mom" which was the show's the first three seasons of and also made appearances on several episodes of Season four. In 2015, her performance on 'Mom" was recognized with an award called the Gracie Allen Award as Outstanding Female Actor - Rising Star.
