Awkwafina
Awkwafina is an American actor and musician who made her name with witty rappers, which explored issues of race and sexuality with an edgy and humorous perspective. After that, she branched out into Hollywood. Nora Lum was born to Chinese Koreans living in Forest Hills Queens. Her first exposure to music was from the trumpet. Classical, jazz and hip-hop training began as she was just a teenager. In college, she studied Women's Studies and Journalism. It was also during this time that she spent one semester studying Mandarin while in Beijing. Then, after graduation, that she turned her attention towards music. In 2012, her song My Vag a response to Mickey Avalon's My Dick found viral success through the Internet before settling on her debut LP Yellow Ranger in 2014. It also included other sensational hits such as body-positive Queef and the winking tour of her hometown NYC Bitche$1. The latter was tied to Awkwafina's NYC and 2015 travel guide. The singer decided to pursue a career as an actor after having completed her two previous endeavors, author and musician. Along with early series like Girl Code, Tawk and Bad Rap she also appeared in films like Neighbors in Storks. In 2018, she landed many major roles like Dude Ocean's Eight or Crazy Rich Asians. That June she issued the EP In Fina We Trust.
